As lockdown gradually eases it’s understandable to feel a little uncertain about opening your doors to external teams be it for construction work or cleaning services. At Remora cleaning, we’ve been working throughout the pandemic during a difficult time which has taught us a lot about how to make a service that operates from client’s homes and businesses as safe as possible for both our clients and staff.
SARS-CoV-2, the pathogen which causes the disease Covid-19, is a highly contagious respiratory illness which spreads through water droplets. These infected water droplets are released when someone who has the illness coughs, sneeze or wipes their eyes. They can then be spread around the home or office as they land on surfaces where they can survive for several days. If an infected surface is then touched by someone else, they are at risk of contracting the disease if they touch their face – something most of us do around 23 times a day.
In response to this knowledge, our teams of professional cleaners have been equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) which both helps in preventing them from spreading water droplets and also keeps them safe as they work. Each worker is given a fresh set of gloves and a mask when working on a property to ensure they leave the job spotless. They are also equipped with overshoes in light of the news that SARS-CoV-2 can, under certain circumstances, travel on shoes.
Having been operating throughout the ongoing pandemic we are confident that our staff and clients can feel assured that all necessary steps are being taken to maintain a safe working environment for everyone involved. We look forward to a time where we can meet again under less clinically conservative conditions, but, for now, if you need us we’ll be waiting and dressed up to the nines in PPE.
